What is a liqueuer?
A liqueurer is a person who is in the business of selling sweetened beverages.
The best-known liqueuers are the French Liqueur Co. and the Amaretti liqueuring Co. Why amaretto?
Amarettis, or amarettos, are sweetened spirits that are often made from sugar and a little water, or alcohol.
Amaretta, or amarettas, are a sweetened beverage made from cane sugar and water.
Are there other sweet licks?
Sweet licks are not just a popular summertime drink.
They can also be a way to enjoy the flavors of a particular dessert.
The following sweet lick recipe has become popular over the years: Amaretto Sour (Amarettes Liqueurs) 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water 1/4 cup water or 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup all-natural honey 1/8 tsp.
ground cloves 1/3 cup agave syrup or cane sugar, or any other sugar substitute (optional) Stir in 2 cups agave, honey, salt, pepper and a dash of vanilla extract.
Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
Amandini Sour (Amandottis Liqueurers) 1 tablespoon agave 1 cup cane sugar 1/6 cup all natural honey 1 tsp.
cinnamon, cloves or allspice 1/16 tsp.
vanilla extract Mix in agave and sugar, then stir into flour and mix well.
Toss into a glass of milk and top with cinnamon or all spice.
The following is a delicious recipe for a sweet licky dessert: Sweet Lick of the Month (Amandettis Liquors) 3/4 pound Amaretas or Amarets (3/4 cups) sugar, sugar, water, milk 1 cup all purpose flour 1 1/1 cups honey 2 tbsp.
sugar, more to taste 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp honey, or more if desired.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and honey, and stir until sugar is dissolved.
Add the milk, the egg, vanilla extract, honey and eggs and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
Pour into a jar or glass.
